Of course, knowledge of European law is part of our job. The lawyers at Prakken d’Oliveira regularly conduct proceedings before European courts as well: apart from the European Court of Human Rights, this includes the General Court of the European Union and the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. There, we inter alia litigate about the disclosure of European environmental information and on behalf of people and organizations that are dealing with European sanctions [ Sanctions Law ].

Furthermore, we regularly act as lawyers before the European Court of Justice in cases concerning so-called preliminary rulings, in which the Dutch courts have requested an explanation of European rules. Finally, our lawyers act in European criminal investigations conducted by the European anti-fraud office OLAF.
