Brechtje Vossenberg specializes in the representation of victims of crimes and human rights violations. Amongst other things, she represents victims and surviving relatives in complex civil procedures against the State of the Netherlands about such violations, and has a particular interest in cases involving international humanitarian law and the environment. In addition, she is specialized as victims' counsel in criminal law cases in which capacity she assists and represents victims of violent crimes, sex crimes, human trafficking and international crimes. Before joining Prakken d'Oliveira she worked at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Phnom Penh (ECCC), and in the past also served as victims' co-counsel at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague (KSC). Until mid-2016 she also worked as a criminal defense lawyer.
