Lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld was nominated for 'Pearl of the Bar'. The elections were called by the Dutch magazine Advocatenblad in honor of it's 100-year anniversary. The 'Pearl of the Bar' is an example for the legal profession. The lawyers who were in the running had been nominated by their peers over the summer, after which a professional jury chose five nominees. Aside from Liesbeth Zegveld, lawyers Roger Cox, Bénédicte Ficq, Loe Sprengers and Tjalling van der Goot were nominated. The latter was proclaimed 'Pearl of the Bar' yesterday.
