This year, lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld will receive the Amsterdam Dean’s Award. The Supervisory Board of the Amsterdam Bar Association has decided to do this as token of appreciation for the way in which she conducts her practice.

The Amsterdam Dean’s Award is awarded annually to a lawyer who has particularly distinguished themselves during the past year. Previously, the prize was awarded to lawyers like Britta Böhler, Floris Bannier and Rob Hamerslag, but also to the Syrian human rights lawyer Muhanad Al-Hassani.

The award will be presented during annual meeting of the Bar Association on 20 March 2014.
