The district court in Rotterdam has acquitted a Syrian suspect of all charges of terrorism on 16 February 2022 due to a lack of evidence. The prosecutor had also concluded after three years of investigation that there was not enough evidence. His lawyer, Tamara Buruma, had extensively questioned the expert witness during the investigation.
