On 24 October 2017 the first court hearing in the appeals case against the Dutch politician Geert Wilders was held. This was a so called trial management hearing (regiezitting) in which the defence and public prosecutor were able to elaborate any further requests for investigation such as witnesses and experts.

Göran Sluiter en Barbara van Straaten are representing the injured parties (benadeelde partijen) in this case.
