Today, the district court of The Hague decided that Jean-Claude I. can be extradited to Rwanda to face trial for alleged involvement in the Rwandan genocide. This is the first Dutch extradition case to Rwanda.
Jean-Claude I.'s lawyers Michiel Pestman and Göran Sluiter have lodged appeal in cassation with the Supreme Court on the same day.
