Today, the Minister for Immigration and Asylum approved the request for a residence permit for study for Mauro Manuel. Mauro will receive a residence permit for the (usual) duration of the academic year, until 1 September 2012. This permit can be extended.

His lawyer Marq Wijngaarden says that Mauro and his (foster) parents are naturally very happy and relieved by this decision. Mauro hopes that he can dedicate himself to his studies in peace and security of residence.
