Liesbeth Zegveld received the Clara Meijer-Wichmann medal in the Amstel Church in Amsterdam. Each year around Human Rights Day on December 10th, the Human Rights League (in Dutch: 'Liga voor Rechten van de Mens'), in cooperation with the foundation J’Accuse, awards this human rights prize to a person or organization that deserves special recognition for their commitment to defending human rights.

Liesbeth Zegveld was awarded the prize because of her years of tenacious work for, and commitment to, victims of war and genocide.

For more information, see the website of the Human Rights League (in Dutch).
