The national- and international judges of the Khmer Rouge tribunal’s Pre-Trial Chamber (the 'PTC') have issued a rare split decision on the controversial issue of political interference at the court.

A request filed by Victor Koppe and Michiel Pestman on behalf of their client Nuon Chea was rejected by the PTC, but with the international judges firmly dissenting.
